The Bodybuilder’s Wife

Body Builder's Wife

I’m A Body Builder’s Wife

This is a photo of my husband Nektarios. He is a body builder. He really doesn’t like me calling him a “Body Builder” because he hasn’t actually competed in a body building competition yet. You may notice that there are crutches on the ground next to the smith machine and that is because my husband insists on training every day despite his broken foot.

Now that is determination!

To me a body builder is someone who is committed to going to the gym to grow his body. My husband does this every day. I am so proud of him and I will support him until he gets to actually compete in a competition –  hopefully sometime next year. (Update: He is doing his first comp in 2016! Yay!)

So how do I support my husband? Well I cook his ‘high protien’ and ‘bulking’ food, I wash his sweaty gym clothes, I try to find ways to get the smell out of his protein shakers and sometimes I tag along with him at the gym. I have to watch him practise his “almost-naked” body building poses in the mirror and I do my very best to help keep him motivated to stay on track with his goals.

My job as the Body Builder’s Wife is a big part of my life. I’ll be writing a lot more about it very soon.
